ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The Late Antiquity culture festival AD FLUVIUM FRIGIDUM is an event that transports visitors back to the era of late antiquity, when the Roman Castra served as a vital defensive point on our soil.
The festival brings together reenactors from different countries who turn history into an exciting adventure, offering interactive workshops, spectacular performances, and engaging demonstrations of Roman life.
Visitors can immerse themselves in everyday Roman life, explore an authentic Roman camp, take part in hands-on workshops to discover Roman military equipment, cuisine, and games, and enjoy spectacular live performances.
Held in the heart of Ajdovščina, the festival brings history to life, celebrates and preserves Roman heritage, and creates a vibrant link between cultural tradition and local tourism.
